To view all offset rent balances, navigate to Lettings properties > Other balances > Offset rent.
Users can use the Unassigned offset rent and Total future offset rent columns for reference. Details of what each column shows can be found below.
Unassigned offset rent: Displays the total amount of offset rent against a property that has not been allocated to a specific date
Total future offset rent: Displays the total amount of offset rent assigned to a property that has been allocated to future dates
Clicking the value within either column will open the bank lines for the property.
Assigning offset rent to a specific date
For any unassigned offset rent, users can assign this as follows:
Click on the value within the Unassigned offset rent column
Locate the relevant offset rent line and click on the ID number
Fill out the rows with the appropriate dates and amounts
If the bank line for the unassigned offset rent is locked, this can be unlocked by clicking the Unlock offset rent lines on the Lettings properties > Other balances > Offset rent page. This will unlock only the bank lines assigned as offset rent but not yet allocated.
