You may receive a Notice under Paragraph 1, Schedule 23 to the Finance Act 2011 from the HMRC. This requests that you send a return to the HMRC detailing rents you have received on behalf of landlords.
The following export provides you with the information required to make your return.
To generate the report, go to Admin > Exports, click to export 'HMRC rent report'. This will download an excel report and save to your internet downloads folder.
The report will detail the landlords’ contact details as well as the proportion of 'Gross Amount of Rent' received based upon the ownership percentage split set in the software. If a landlord owns more than one property, there will be a line for each property in their portfolio.
