Signable - Managing open Signable documents

1. Viewing open Signable documents

To access the open Signable documents page, go to Correspondence > Electronic signature log.

This page defaults to list all open Signable documents that are less than 90 days old and, for each document, users are provided with a wide range of information including the status, what type of document it is and when it was sent for signing (shown below).

To view an older open Signable document, click on Open > 90 days (shown below).

2. Viewing document events

To view the current events of an in-progress document, for example, which individual currently has the document for signing, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Correspondence > Electronic signature log

  2. Locate the document in question

  3. Within the Events column, click on Document history

Please find below an annotated diagram that explains how to interpret document events. Note, the below example lists the events of a document from its creation to the completion of document signing.

3. What happens when a document has been fully signed?

Once a document has been signed, each party will receive a signed copy of the document to their email.

Within SME Professional, the Final document column (on the Correspondence > Electronic signature log page) will show as View signed document. Click on this link to download a copy of the signed document.

4. Closing an open Signable document

Having a large number of open Signable documents can result in the View open signable documents page loading slowly, therefore we recommend users close Signable documents once fully signed.

To close a Signable document, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Correspondence > Electronic signature log

  2. Locate the document in question

  3. Within the Close column, click on the tick icon

The document will be moved to the Closed documents page which can be accessed by clicking the relevant link.

5. Cancelling/deleting an open Signable document

To delete a Signable document on SME Professional that has already been sent for signing, it must first be cancelled within your Signable account.

5.1 Cancelling the document within Signable

  1. Login to your Signable account

  2. Click on Library

  3. Locate the document in question and click on the title

  4. Click on the red Cancel envelope button

5.2 Deleting the Signable document on SME Professional

  1. Go to Correspondence > Electronic signature log

  2. Locate the relevant document

  3. Within the Delete column, click on the red cross

  4. A confirmation dialogue box will open, please select Yes to delete to document or No to cancel this action
