The system enables you to store contractor details for easy access, along with any information regarding the services they provide, rates they charge, commission you may earn etc.
Adding a new contractor
Go to Contractors > Add New Contractor
A screen will appear with a form to add the relevant information to. There are various tabs along the top of the page for you to update. The information you provide in these tabs is used to accurately work with various aspects of the system.
You will find a Submit button at the bottom of each tab. At any stage of adding a new contractor, you can click this button and it will create the new record, taking you out of this screen and back to the main View contractors page.
For the most part the form is intuitive to work through, but we have included further information on some sections below:
Contractor Details tab
You can ask basic details for the contractor here including the Name of the Company, their Contractor status, Address etc.
Mobile Phone Number: If entered, the system can use this number to send text messages to contractors.
Main Company Email Address: If entered, the system can use this address to send emails to contractors.
Contacts: If adding more than one contact, separate them using a comma (ie Jon 0131 xxx xxxx, [email protected]). Please note that any email addresses and mobile numbers provided in this box can also be used to email or text the contractor via the system.
Other Details tab
This tab gives you the opportunity to type details which help give an idea of the contractors services (ie works 24 hours, emergency contact or trades covered etc.).
Payment Details tab
This tab is used to store bank details against the contractor. You can also store information on their preferred payment method and the percentage commission you receive from them. Please note that this is for reference purposes only and won’t be used by the system to make payments.
Insurance tab
Within this tab you can store details of the Contractors' Professional indemnity insurance, Employee insurance and Public liability insurance.
