Landlords - Adding and tracking expiry of landlord registration numbers

Updated over 5 months ago

1. Adding a landlord registration number

  1. Go to Owners > Property link table

  2. Locate the landlord in question

  3. Within the Landlord registration numbers (editable) column, click on Click here to add a number

  4. Enter the landlord registration number within the text box and click OK

Note, the expiration date can be noted within the Landlord registration expiry date column, but this is solely for reference only. This is not used to track the expiration of the registration number.

2. Tracking landlord registration number expiry

Tracking and managing landlord registration numbers can be done from various places on the system. It is normally the user's preference which option they decide to go for.

From the Property-owner links page:

  1. Go to Owners > Property-owner links

  2. Sort by the Landlord registration number expiry date column by clicking on the column header

  3. Click on the Export button to the top right of the table

From generating the 'Owners of current properties' export:

  1. Go to Admin > Exports

  2. Click on Owners of current properties (within the Tenants and owners box) to generate the export

From the Safety certificates and compliance page:

  1. Go to Lettings Properties > Safety certificates and compliance

  2. Click + Certificate

  3. Select the relevant property address

  4. Expand the Certificate type dropdown and select Landlord registration

  5. Set the certificate date and expiry date

  6. Click Submit

The Lettings Properties > Safety certificates and compliance page defaults to list certificates that are due to expire in less than 4 weeks or those already expired.

When the expiry date of the landlord's registration number approaches, the certificate will appear on this page for reference.
