Before proceeding, please have your SME Professional login details and Gmail login details to hand.

1. Updating employee record
The email address associated with the Gmail calendar that is to be connected/reconnected must be specified within the correct employee profile. This will allow for the correct identification of owned calendars.
Go to Admin > My details (Or Admin > View all employees > edit pencil to update another employee's profile)
Locate and populate the Calendar account email address field (See below screenshot)
Click Update employee
2. Connecting the calendar
We recommend using an incognito window when connecting a calendar to SME Professional. An incognito browser is clear of cached data and should ensure no interference with the calendar connection process.
On Google Chrome, click on the three vertical dots icon in the top right-hand corner
Select New incognito window
Go to SME Professional and login as the user whose calendar is to be connected/reconnected
Go to Admin > Manage calendar connections
Click on Sign in with Google
You will be redirected to the Gmail login page, enter the Gmail login details for the calendar that is to be connected
Once submitted, you will then be redirected back to the SME Professional calendar page.
3. Checking the calendar connection
We recommend using the Book appointment function to add a test appointment to the newly connected calendar to double-check that the connection has been established successfully.
From the top bar, click on Book appointment (
)
Select the calendar this test appointment is to be added to
Set the Date and Time of the appointment
Enter a description. For example, Test appointment
Click Submit
This appointment should be listed on the correct date and time within the selected calendar.
