Property management - Adding property sales fee

The fixed fee amount and commission rate can be set within a Sales property record. Once set, this can then be used to generate a sales invoice on SME Professional.

1. Adding the fee

To set the required fee amount within a property record, please follow the below steps:

  1. Go to Sales properties > View available properties

  2. Locate the property

  3. Within the Address column, click on the property address

  4. The Address tab within the property record contains various fee fields including Sales fee (inclusive of VAT) & Commission rate (%) (inclusive of VAT), as shown below

  5. Populate the relevant fee field

  6. Click Update property to save the record

2. Using fee merge fields in template documents

If users wish to generate a sales invoice from the Correspondence > Template documents page of SME Professional, there are fee merge fields available that can be added to invoice templates. To locate the available merge fields, please follow the below steps:

  1. Go to Correspondence > Template Documents

  2. Select a property from the Property dropdown (for sales merge fields, please ensure a sales property address is selected)

  3. Click on the Example document data tab

  4. Within the Property merge fields category, there are various fee merge fields available

  5. The Field output example column will display how the data will be outputted if that merge field is used, as shown below:
