Properties - Unable to archive a property

Updated over 7 months ago

Users are prevented from setting a property's status to 'Past property' where the property is a lead property, and it still has live linked properties to it or if it has any financial balances still present.

If this is the case, a system message will be displayed at the point of trying to archive the property to advise the user how to resolve the situation (see example below):

1. Property is the lead property of a portfolio

If other linked properties in the portfolio are still live, users should complete one of the below actions before attempting to archive this property.

  • Designate a new lead property for the portfolio.

  • Where the entire portfolio is being retired, all linked properties should be archived first.

2. Property has outstanding balances

The following balances must equal £0 for a property to be archived:

  • Landlord balance

  • Float balance

  • Deposit balance

  • Overpaid rent

  • Holding funds

  • Open landlord deductions

  • Open regular payment deductions

If this is not the case, please resolve any outstanding balances before attempting to archive the property.
