Properties - Updating the Date of entry

The Date of Entry for a property is set at the point of creating a new tenancy or by completing the legacy setup process. If the Date of Entry for a property is showing incorrectly on the View properties page, a new tenancy will need to be created to update this.

  1. Go to Tenants > Create tenancy

  2. Select the relevant property

  3. Set the correct Date of entry

  4. Complete the rest of the tenancy form as required. (For further guidance on creating a new tenancy, please click here).

  5. If no new documents need to be created, expand the Select documents to create dropdown and select Generate none

  6. Untick the Set property status to awaiting move in checkbox

  7. Untick the Use electronic signatures checkbox

  8. Click Create tenant documents

The new Date of entry will now be shown on the View properties page.

Note: Once the above steps have been completed, we would advise users to check the Tenant ledger to ensure payment dates are correct and make any required updates. For further guidance on accessing and updating the Tenant ledger, please click here.
