1. Change in BulkSMS account details
The BulkSMS integration relies on us holding valid login details for your account. If there have been any changes to these details (Username and/or password), please send this in an email to [email protected] so that we can update your system accordingly.
2. Not enough BulkSMS credits
BulkSMS works on a Pay as you go (PAYG) service, therefore users need to ensure there are sufficient credits within their BulkSMS account. Insufficient credits will prevent users from sending out text messages from SME Professional.
To add more credits on BulkSMS:
Go to www.bulksms.com and login to your account
Click on Credits
Select the relevant credits package and follow the payment steps
Users can also set a Low credit notification on BulkSMS so that are made aware by Email and/or text when there credit numbers are low. This can be set up on BulkSMS by going to Settings > Credit settings.
3. Invalid phone number(s)
Double-check to make sure that the mobile number(s) entered are valid. When sending one text to multiple recipients, each mobile number needs to be separated solely by a comma and have no spaces between ie 01234567798,04512545845
4. Daily send quota
For security reasons, BulkSMS have put in place a limit on how many text messages can be sent in one day. By default, this daily quota is set to 1000 credits (approx. 1000 text messages).
If this quota is exceeded, users will no longer be able to send any further text messages until the next day. To increase your daily quota, please contact the BulkSMS support team ([email protected]).
