Terms of business - Generating a landlord agreement

1. Creating a landlord agreement

  1. Go to Owners > Terms of Business.

  2. Select the property address.

  3. Within the Select column, ensure all relevant landlords are ticked for inclusion in the agreement.

  4. Select the owner agreement template.

  5. Create a portfolio agreement - If the selected landlord(s) have a portfolio of properties, tick this box to create a portfolio agreement. Note: To create a portfolio agreement, all properties must be linked together in a portfolio. For further information on creating a property portfolio, please click here.

  6. Use electronic signatures - If the document is to be electronically signed, tick this checkbox.

  7. Contract commencement date - Set the start date for this contract. This field is optional and only relevant if the selected template includes the contract start date merge field.

  8. There are two options available for creating the document:

    • Create contract document - Document will be generated and downloaded to your computer as a Word document

    • Create contract document and email - As well as the document being created, a pre-populated email to the owner will pop-up containing a link to the agreement

2. Electronic signing

If the Use electronic signatures option was ticked, at the point of creating the agreement the View open Signable documents page will automatically open in a new browser tab. To send the document for signing, click on the tick icon.

Note: we recommend that agreements are revised prior to them being sent for signing.
