Coming soon

Follow-ups and Last contact date (Sales).

We are excited to announce a series of enhancements coming soon to streamline your appraisal workflow and improve visibility on client engagement.

Appraisal follow-up changes

Appraisal records will now include a collapsible accordion view that consolidates all related correspondence under the following sub-categories:

  • Owner – appraisal

  • Owner – follow-up

  • Owner – update

  • Owner – marketing approval

The previous Follow-up stage is being replaced with a new ‘Add follow-up’ action, enabling you to record updates directly within the accordion. All existing follow-up data will be migrated into correspondence tagged as ‘Owner – follow-up’ for continued reference.

Appraisal initial meeting changes

We are simplifying appraisal stage management. The ‘Initial meeting’ and ‘Initial’ columns are being merged into a single, unified view. Clicking the traffic light icon within the ‘Initial’ column allows you to update the stage and schedule meetings in one streamlined action.

Last contact date

To provide an easier view of client engagement, a ‘Last contact date’ column is being added to both the ‘View appraisals’ and ‘View available properties’ pages. This date reflects the most recent correspondence with the owner under relevant categories such as:

  • Owner – appraisal, follow-up, update, marketing approval

  • (Available properties only) Owner – change of details, general enquiry, offer

These updates are designed to help you manage follow-ups, keep better records, and engage property owners more easily and accurately.

New integrations

SafeDeposits Scotland (updated API version).

We have a major enhancement to our existing SafeDeposits Scotland (SDS) integration, designed to save time and simplify your deposit registration process. SME Professional now features a direct API integration with SDS, allowing agents to send deposit information seamlessly without leaving the SME Professional platform.

Previously, users were required to export deposit data and manually upload it to their SDS account. With this new API connection, that step is eliminated, streamlining your workflow and reducing the risk of errors. You can now trigger the submission of deposit information directly within SME Professional, ensuring a faster, more efficient registration process.

InventoryHive.

SME Professional's new integration with Inventory Hive allows users to synchronise property and tenancy data directly into Inventory Hive, making it quicker and easier to manage inventories, check-ins, check-outs, and mid-term inspections.

Inventory Hive helps agents save time, eliminates double data entry, and ensures accuracy across both platforms.

Visitor Chat.

Visitor Chat is a cutting-edge communication solution designed to bridge the gap between businesses and their website visitors. By integrating real-time chat functionality, it revolutionises the way companies interact with their online audience, delivering immediate, personalised support that enhances client experience, boosts engagement, and drives lead generation.

The Inventory Manager.

SME Professional has a new integration with The Inventory Manager, designed to streamline property management for our clients. This connection allows users to seamlessly synchronise property and tenancy data from SME Professional directly into The Inventory Manager platform, removing the need for duplicate data entry and improving overall efficiency.

With this integration, creating and managing professional inventory reports, check-ins, check-outs, and interim inspections becomes faster and easier. Real-time data synchronisation ensures your records are always up to date and accurate.

Software updates

Property export - new Rent guarantee column.

A new 'Rent guarantee' column has been added to the Properties export, available on Admin > Exports, and can be used to track what properties have a rent guarantee policy.

This new column links to the 'Rent guarantee' field located within the Finance tab of the lettings property record (as shown below)

Intercom - new help centre.

We have officially moved our system Help Centre to Intercom — bringing you a faster, smarter, and more seamless support experience.

You can access our new Help Centre by clicking the orange guide icon in the bottom-right corner of any page (as shown below).

What is new for you?

  • Smarter search – Quickly find the answers you need.

  • Improved content – Cleaner layout and updated articles for easier guidance.

  • Easy support requests – Submit a support request directly from the Help Centre.

  • Interactive walkthroughs – Our helpful online tours are now integrated right into Intercom. Just open the Intercom widget on any page with a tour available and click "Start a tour".

Sidebar removal.

We recently implemented an update to relocate common actions from the left sidebar to the top menu, removing the sidebar on pages with no additional actions. This is to allow more information to be available on screen.

Our work continues to extend this update across the system.
