We’re pleased to share our latest updates, focused on simplifying compliance, improving efficiency, and enhancing day-to-day workflows across the platform.
New Features.
AML compliance.
We’ve introduced a brand new Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks page, available via Admin > Anti-Money Laundering. This centralised hub allows you to manage AML documents across multiple contact types in one place.
Each contact is displayed on a single row with a clear traffic-light system for document tracking, making progress easy to assess at a glance. You can also:
Add notes per contact
View last contact dates
Set reminders (with calendar integration)
Assign overall AML progress statuses
This update streamlines compliance workflows and reduces the need for manual tracking across multiple areas.
Future work will include integrating this new page with third-party AML suppliers.
Rent-a-Room management.
We’ve released new features to make managing rent-a-room properties more efficient.
What’s included:
Dedicated group management pages - Manage Statement Groups (financial portfolios) and Room Groups (rent-a-room properties) through new pages under Lettings properties > Manage group properties.
Group tenant communication - Contact all tenants within a Room Group at once - ideal for coordinating inspections, maintenance, or contractor visits.
Shared files across rooms - Easily copy images and documents between room properties, ensuring information is always accessible where needed.
These improvements reduce admin time and improve coordination across shared property setups.
Rent guarantee filters.
New filters have been added to the Advanced search bar on Lettings > View Properties:
Rent guarantee policy
No rent guarantee policy
This allows you to quickly identify and filter properties based on their rent guarantee status (found in Lettings property record > Financial tab).
Guarantor email in tenant export.
The All Tenants export (found in Admin > Exports) now includes a ‘Guarantor email’ column displaying the guarantor’s email address.
This makes it easier to carry out bulk communications with guarantors.
Automatic completion date setting.
When a sales property is marked as ‘Past property – Completed’, the Actual completion date will now automatically populate with the current date, if it hasn’t already been set.
Setting expense category descriptions.
Users can now add an optional description when creating a new expense category.
New categories can be added via the Expense categories page in the Financial settings section of the superusers page.
What are expense categories?
Customisable categories that allow users to group and organise expenses for easier tracking and classification when adding deductions.
New correspondence subcategories.
To support the Renter’s Rights Act, we’ve added new correspondence subcategories:
First-tier tribunal
Owner rent approval
Rent increase
Pet request
These additions improve both organisation and reporting of correspondence records.
‘Do not market before’ date.
To support compliance with the Renters' Rights Act, we have introduced controls to prevent properties from being re-marketed too early.
New functionality includes:
A “Do not market before” date field on the property record
An error message on the Publish to marketing sites page if this date is in the future
This ensures properties cannot be marketed before the legally permitted timeframe, helping you stay compliant.
Viewings page performance improvements.
We’ve enhanced the Viewings page to improve loading speeds, delivering a smoother and faster user experience.
Integrations.
Nexus.
We’re excited to introduce our new integration with Nexus by Landlord Studio – a Making Tax Digital (MTD) solution built specifically for letting agents and their landlords.
This powerful integration connects directly to live transaction data within SME Professional, automatically capturing and categorising rental income, management fees, and expenses - eliminating the need for manual data entry.
This integration delivers automated MTD compliance, helping you stay on top of HMRC requirements. It works seamlessly with SME Professional, so there’s no need for separate systems, and provides effortless reporting by giving landlords clear, digital records ready for quarterly submissions.

The Letting Partnership - Client Money Assurance.
Our integration partner The Letting Partnership has launched its new client accounting accreditation service TLP Comply. Under the TLP Assurance scheme, agents can gain formal recognition for independently validated client money controls.
The Letting Partnership is offering all SME Professional clients a free Client Money Assurance Review. This independent review helps agents strengthen their client money processes and, for those who choose to go further, become TLP Assured, which provides formal recognition of robust and independently validated client money controls.

Coming soon.
Including guarantors in arrears communications.
We are updating the tenant arrears email to include guarantor emails in the BCC field. This allows guarantors to be aware of any arrears at the property.
We are also adding additional tenant arrears email templates.
Booking viewings via calendar availability (AI integration).
We are expanding our API capabilities and introducing additional system fields to support integrations with AI platforms. This will enable viewings to be automatically scheduled based on an agent’s real-time calendar availability.
At both company and property level, agents will be able to define clear viewing preferences, including:
Minimum notice period
Advance booking window
Viewing duration
Primary and secondary viewing calendar
Weekly availability hours
These settings will be stored within the property record and Superuser area, giving you greater control over how and when viewings are arranged.
Third-party providers have already started developing integrations to support automated booking. We’ll share further updates as these become available.
We are also working on expanding our own automated Viewings booking platform as an alternative to IRE.
New ‘Reference & credit checks’ page (Let Alliance and Homelet users).
We are launching a redesigned Reference & Credit Checks page for Let Alliance and HomeLet users.
The new experience shifts from a tenant-led structure to an application-led workflow, making it easier to manage multiple applicants within a single case.
Create applications using + New Application button, which submits referencing details and generates a new table entry
Add additional parties to application using Add tenant and Add guarantor actions
View and manage all related applicants within one unified application
This update will be rolled out to clients over the coming weeks.
