Rent due dates indicate how much rent should be received and when. They are set up by completing the create tenancy or legacy setup process.
Users can add, edit and delete due dates individually or in bulk. Please find below guidance on how to do so.
1. Adding rent due dates
1.1 Add in bulk
Go to Lettings properties > Property balances
Locate the relevant property
Click on the value in the Tenant arrears column to access the Tenant balance ledger
From the top right, click Update due dates
Enter the date on which the due dates are to start
Select the relevant payment frequency
Enter the required rent amount
Click Submit
1.2 Add a single due date
Go to Lettings properties > Property balances
Locate the relevant property
Click on the value in the Tenant arrears column to access the Tenant balance ledger
From the top right, select the dropdown arrow next to Update due dates, then select Single due date
Set the date range this rent due relates to
Enter the amount
If required, add a description
Click Submit
2. Editing rent due dates
2.1 Edit in bulk
Go to Lettings properties > Property balances
Locate the relevant property
Click on the value in the Tenant arrears column to access the Tenant balance ledger
From the top right, click Update due dates
Enter the date on which the due dates are to be updated from
If required, amend the payment frequency and rent amount
Click Submit
2.2 Edit single due date
Go to Lettings properties > Property balances
Locate the relevant property
Click on the value in the Tenant arrears column to access the Tenant balance ledger
Locate the due date to be amended
Click on the edit pencil icon
Amend the fields as required
Click Update
Note: If a future due date needs to be amended, users may need to click on Next 18 months from the top left of the page to locate it.
3. Deleting rent due dates
3.1 Delete in bulk
This will delete all rent invoices from a specified date onward.
Go to Lettings properties > Property balances
Locate the relevant property
Click on the value in the Tenant arrears column to access the Tenant balance ledger
From the top right, click Delete due dates
Enter the date on which the due dates should be deleted from
Click Update
3.2 Delete single due date
Go to Lettings properties > Property balances
Locate the relevant property
Click on the value in the Tenant arrears column to access the Tenant balance ledger
Locate the due date to be deleted
In the Delete column, click on the red X icon
Note: If a future due date needs to be deleted, users may need to click on Next 18 months from the top left of the page to locate it.
