Property management - Setting a closing date

1. How to set, modify or remove a closing date

Users can set, modify or clear the closing date of a sales property via the property record or the property overview.

1.1 Property record

  1. Go to Sales properties > View available properties

  2. Locate the property in question

  3. Select the address within the Address column

  4. Open the Details tab

  5. Locate and populate the Closing date field

    1. To clear the closing date, click on the red cross icon

  6. Select Update property

1.2 Property Overview

The closing date can also be updated in the Property overview, automatically updating the property record and vice versa. To update via the Property overview, click on No closing date set.

2. Sending closing date emails to solicitors

Once a closing date has been set, an email icon will be displayed to the right of the date. To send this email to solicitors, click on the email icon. The email generated will pull through the lawyers' email addresses for all active buyers with a date stamped in the Note of Interest column into the BCC field.

In cases where a buyer has noted interest in the property but either lacks a lawyer or their lawyer does not have an email address, an advisory message will pop up when the email icon is clicked,

Clicking Continue will allow you to proceed with the email generation.
