To access the property map area, click on Property map from the top bar (highlighted below)
1. How it works
On the map, properties are grouped together in clusters, with the number indicating how many are located within that particular area (shown below).
This feature allows users to manage their time more effectively. For example, if there is a property viewing taking place, users can look at the cluster to determine what other properties are in the same vicinity should they wish to plan inspections and other periodic visits for that particular day, saving the need for a repeat visit to the same area.
The map itself is integrated with Google maps and is fully interactive. Users can zoom in and out using the zoom tool located on the bottom right corner of the map, or by double-clicking the area they wish to zoom in on.
The view can also be changed from road map to satellite view, by clicking the tabs at the top right corner of the map.
2. Directions and traffic reports
When zooming in on the map, the clusters change into smaller groupings of properties. Zoom in close enough and the numbering will disappear, leaving only markers for individual properties (shown below).
The red pins indicate individual properties whereas the blue circle indicates a small group of properties.
Users can also use the property map to get directions to a particular property:
Click on the relevant property pin
Enter the starting address or postcode
Click on Get directions
The page will update to list the directions on the right-hand side, with the distance and estimated travel time stated. The blue line on the map is a graphical indication of a route to the property.
A live traffic coloured key will appear. Referencing this to the map shows traffic flow over the journey so congestion can be avoided.
3. Filtering options
There are a range of filter options available allowing users to narrow down the results as required. For example, users may want to view only properties of one type or only those with open maintenance items.
Further information on the most used filter options can be found below.
3.1 Property type
Expand the Property type dropdown and select the relevant option
Users have the option to view all properties, all properties currently under management or only those available on the market
If a user receives an enquiry regarding a particular property that has recently been let/sold, they can use the map to determine what properties are available nearby or in a bordering neighbourhood.
3.2 Days since inspection
This filter option allows users to filter the properties by their last inspection date. Users can then prioritise and group inspections in particular areas
Expand the Days since inspection dropdown
Select the relevant option: >30 days, >60 days, >90 days, >120 days or >180 days
3.3 Maintenance issues
This allows users to filter properties based on whether or not they have open/outstanding maintenance issues. Users can view all properties with open maintenance issues, or those with open issues that are > 7, >14 or >28 days old.
This is particularly useful for agents that have in-house contractors, and therefore they need to send them to properties in close vicinity to reduce travel time.
Expand the Maintenance issues dropdown
Select the relevant option
