Inspection routes can be created to help users create and track inspections more efficiently. The routes themselves must be devised/created by the user.
For example, all properties located in a particular part of town can be assigned to the same route so that they are all visited on the same trip.
1. Setting the inspection route for a property
Go to Lettings Properties > View Properties
Locate the property in question
In the Street column, click on the property address
Expand the Inspection Route dropdown
Select the relevant route number (SME Professional default routes are numbered eg 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...and so on)
Click Update property
2. Setting the next inspection date/time for a route
Go to Lettings Properties > Inspections
In the Route column, locate the relevant route number and click on the calendar icon
Set the next inspection type
Enter the next inspection date and time
If this appointment is to be added to a calendar, tick the Add event to calendar box and then select the relevant calendar name from the dropdown
Click Submit - all properties on the selected route will be updated accordingly
3. Viewing property routes
From the top bar, click on Property map (
)
Expand the Routes dropdown
Select the relevant Route number
The map will update to show only properties assigned to the selected route
Zoom in on the map and the grouped properties will disperse to show individual properties denoted by a red Google pin icon
Users can also use the property map to get directions to a particular property:
Click on the relevant property pin
Enter the starting address
Click on Get directions
The page will update to list the directions on the right-hand side
