Advertising portals require a baseline of information in order to list a property so before a property can be advertised from SME Professional, users need to ensure all the key marketing details have been entered.
1. Viewing missing information
If a property is missing key information, it will list on the Publish to marketing sites page with a red exclamation icon (Shown below).
Hover over this icon and the system will present the user with a list of the missing information which will be classed as either an Error or a Warning. Further guidance on the difference between errors and warnings can be found below.
2. Errors
An Error will prevent the property from being marketed as this information is required for marketing.
Examples of errors are:
Property description is blank
No availability date has been set
No rent has been entered
In order to advertise this property, all errors must be dealt with.
3. Warnings
A Warning will not stop a property from being marketed but instead, the system is just highlighting information that a user may want to update before the property is advertised.
Examples of warnings are:
No EPC rating has been entered
The number of bedrooms has not been entered
4. Updating missing information
Once the user has hovered over the red exclamation icon to check what information is missing, they will want to update this within the property record.
To access the property record, click on the page icon in the Preview column. Once the relevant information has been populated, remember to click on Update property to save the changes.
