Advertising portals require a baseline of information to list a property, so for a property to be eligible for marketing on SME Professional, certain key details must be included in the property record.
Please use the information below to guide you in updating a property so it is ready for marketing.
1. Property status
In order for a property to show on the Sales properties > Publish to marketing sites page, it must have one of the marketable statuses:
Unoccupied on market
Occupied on market
Under offer
Sold STC
Sold STCM
2. Red exclamation icon for warnings or errors
If a property is missing key information, a red exclamation icon will show on the left side of the property on the Publish to marketing sites page.
Hover over this icon to be presented with a list of what information is missing, which will be classed as either a warning or an error:
A Warning will still allow the property to be published. Instead, the system is just highlighting information that users may want to update before the property is advertised.
An Error will prevent the property from being marketed as this information is required by advertising portals.
Each available property needs to be updated so that no errors are listed against it.
3. Property images
To upload property images:
Go to Sales properties > Publish to marketing sites
In the Images column, select the upload icon
Drag and drop the images into the window, or select Add files and locate the relevant files
Select Start upload
Once uploaded, close the pop-up and refresh the page. The value displayed in the No. of images column reflects the newly uploaded images.
Note: The maximum image file size supported is 20 MB per image.

5. Floor plans
To upload a floor plan for a property, please follow the steps below:
Go to Sales properties > Publish to marketing sites
In the Floor Plans column, select the upload icon
Drag and drop the images into the window, or select Add files and locate the relevant files
Select Start upload
Note: Floor plans must be uploaded in JPEG format for marketing purposes.
6. Features
Up to 10 features can be sent to advertising portals for each property. Not all portals display all available features. If not all 10 feature fields have been populated, the system will look to some of the checkbox fields to fill in any remaining features.
7. Sending a Property Preview link to an owner
The property preview feature allows a property owner to review marketing content before the property is published to live portals.
The preview shows how the property is likely to appear online and enables feedback and requested amendments to be gathered before marketing begins.
The website link that can be provided to the owner of the property can be located by following the steps below:
Go to Sales properties > View available properties
Locate and select the property address
In the Descriptions tab, locate the Link to property on website field, which includes the preview website link that can be sent to the owner
