Text messaging is a great way of communicating with customers. SME Professional integrates with BulkSMS, allowing users to send text messages directly from their system. For guidance on how to set up this integration, please click here.
All sent text messages are logged within Correspondence > View correspondence. If set up within your BulkSMS account, any return text messages can be converted to emails and returned to a designated email inbox.
1. Sending a text message
There are a few different ways in which text messages can be sent from the system:
On certain system pages, mobile numbers will be displayed as a clickable link (for example, on Tenants > View tenants). Clicking on this number will bring up a blank SMS message and the recipient's number will be auto-populated
There will be menu options on certain system pages, which, when selected, will bring up a pre-populated SMS text to the recipient. For example, the Action dropdown on the Viewings page has the option to text current tenants/owners.

Please note, that for the text message function to work efficiently, system contacts (for example, tenants and landlords) should have their mobile number set as their Preferred contact number
2. Sending a text message to multiple recipients
When sending a text message to multiple recipients, their mobile numbers need to be separated by a comma. For example, 07909871235,07867581928.
