Tenants - Tenant status changing to past tenant

Completing the end tenancy process sets a move out date against the selected tenants as well as updating their status to 'Move out date given'. Once a tenant's move out date is reached, their status will automatically update to Past tenant.

Should a user manually change the status of a tenant (who has a move out date set in the past) away from 'Past tenant', the system will continue to automatically change the tenant status back to 'Past tenant'. To prevent this from happening, users will need to remove the move out date against the tenant.

  1. Go to Tenants > View tenants

  2. Locate the relevant tenant

  3. Click the edit pencil icon

  4. Open the Dates tab

  5. Click the red X icon to the right of the Move out date field

  6. Click Update tenant
