Once an appraisal has reached a conclusion, the enquiry status should be updated to reflect the outcome. This ensures that records are correctly categorised and that properties move into the appropriate workflow stage or are archived where necessary.
1. Update status when business is won
If the business has been won, the status of the enquiry can be updated to move the property to the next stage, property marketing.
Go to Sales properties > View appraisals
Locate the enquiry in question
In the Enquiry status column, expand the dropdown and select Pending
The enquiry will be removed from the View appraisals page and moved to the View available properties page. This enables preparation for marketing activities.

2. Update status when business is lost
If the business has not been won, the enquiry can be archived so that it no longer appears as an open enquiry.
Go to Sales properties > View appraisals
Locate the enquiry in question
In the Enquiry status column, expand the dropdown and select either Enquiry – Qualified out or Enquiry – Lost
Once the relevant option has been selected, the enquiry log will be hidden
To view archived enquiries, expand the Filter by secondary status dropdown on the left sidebar and select either Qualified out or Lost. The table will then update to list enquiries set to the chosen status.
