As of 1st October 2018, every letting agent in Scotland is required to apply for a Letting Agent Registration Number (LARN) in order to operate legally.
1. Adding a LARN
The LARN field is held within the Company details tab of the Admin page which can only be accessed by superusers. Note, superusers will list with an access level of 0 on the Admin > View all employees page.
Go to Admin > View all employees
Click on Admin page
In the Company details tab, locate the LARN of company field
Populate as required
Click on Update details
2. Property listings
In order for your LARN to appear on property listings, a new marketing feed needs to be published. To do so:
Go to Lettings Properties > Publish to marketing sites
Click on Market properties > Publish the properties
Once the new feeds have been sent, your chosen advertising portals will update to list your LARN.
3. Documents
For generated PDF documents, for example, statements and work orders, your LARN will automatically pull through below the company address in the top right-hand corner of the document.
In order for the LARN to pull through to other generated documents, the relevant merge field must be added to the templates.

For Tenancy document templates and Landlord Terms of Business templates:$agent.letting_agent_registration_number$
