Employees - Resetting another user's password

Note: Only authorised superusers can change passwords in SME Professional. For further guidance on how to become a superuser, please click here.

To see who is the superuser for your system, please go to Admin > View all employees and then look in the Access rights column. Superusers will show with an access level of 0.

To change the password of an existing user, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Admin > View all employees

  2. Click on Admin page

  3. Click on Users

  4. On the left-hand side of the page, click on Update user

  5. Username: Select the user account whose password needs to be reset

  6. Password: Click on to generate a new secure password. For the highest level of security, a randomly generated password is used instead of a custom one

  7. Take note of the new password. (If you wish to copy the password, please select the copy icon or triple-click on the password text to highlight it.)

  8. Click Update - the page will refresh, and a message will appear confirming this update
