The floor plan reader tool uses AI to read room names and dimensions from uploaded floor plans, then adds them to the property record from the Description tab.

The AI-powered floor plan tool is available to clients using the Plus system. If you would like to learn more, please get in touch with our support team.
Floor plan reader
The AI reader process starts from the Description tab of the property record. To start the process, select the AI floor plan reader.
The process has four steps:
Upload or review floor plans
Choose how rooms information should be added
Process the floor plans
Review the read result
If no floor plan has been uploaded
Step 1 - Upload floor plans
Select the AI floor plan reader button
A pop-up window opens at step 1 of 4
Upload one or more floor plans
Select Next
Step 2 - Choose how rooms are added
The uploaded floor plans are shown on the page.
By default, Add rooms is selected. This adds the read room names and dimensions to the property record.
If rooms have already been created, Replace existing rooms can be selected instead.
Select Next to continue.
Step 3 - Process the floor plans
The processing page shows the stages the AI uses to read information from the floor plans.
When processing is complete, the workflow automatically moves to step 4.
Step 4 - Review the result
The confirmation page shows that the information has been processed.
If the AI cannot read the information clearly, it is displayed on the confirmation page.
Select Close to finish the process.
After Close is selected:
The room names and dimensions are added to the property record.
Dimensions are shown in metric by default.
If the dimension units are changed to imperial, the converted dimensions are shown.
A Floor plans button appears next to AI floor plan reader.
Selecting Floor plans opens the floor plans in a new tab.
Errors during AI reading
If an error appears during the reading process, an example would be an incorrect file type.
Select Back.
Review the uploaded documents.
Check that the correct floor plans have been uploaded.
Continue the process when the documents are ready.
Result of AI reading
When AI reading is complete, the property record is updated with the room names and dimensions.
Metric dimensions are shown by default. Imperial dimensions are displayed when the dimension units are changed to imperial units.
If the AI can return partial results, the confirmation page should clearly identify which rooms or dimensions require manual review as information.
