Property management - Exchanging a sales property

1. Updating the property status

When a property has been exchanged, the status of this property should be updated to Contracts exchanged. Please find below guidance on how to do this:

  1. Go to Sales properties > View sales progression

  2. Locate the relevant property

  3. Within the Property status column, expand the dropdown and select Contracts exchanged

  4. A confirmation prompt will appear asking the user to confirm this selection - select Yes to continue or No to cancel the action

2. Actual exchange date

When a user changes the status of a property is set to Contracts exchanged, the system will automatically set the Actual exchange date.

To view the actual exchange date, please follow the steps listed below:

  1. Go to Sales properties > View sales progression

  2. Locate the relevant property

  3. Look at the date showing within the Exchange date column

Note: The Actual exchange date field is editable to users with access levels 0 or 1. As mentioned above, this date is set as the date on which the property status was changed to Contracts exchanged.
