Marketing - Removing a property listing from an advertising portal

Updated over 6 months ago

Note: Different portals process feed updates at different times of the day so users may not see the property(s) removed right away.

There are different ways in which a property can be removed from an advertising portal. Please find information on all options below.

1. Unticking the property(s)

  1. Go to Lettings properties > Publish to marketing sites

  2. Untick the relevant property(s) from in each portal column they are to be removed from

  3. Click on Market properties and then Publish the properties

The unticked properties will not be included in the new marketing feed sent which will prompt the chosen portals to remove them from their site.

2. Changing the property status

The Properties > Publish to marketing sites page only lists properties of a marketable status (Occupied on market, Unoccupied on market and Tenant check period). A property can be removed from this page by changing its status to another option.

  1. Go to Lettings properties > View properties

  2. Locate the property in question

  3. In the Street column, click on the property address

  4. Expand the Property status dropdown and select the appropriate status

  5. Click Update property

Users will then need to go to Properties > Publish to marketing sites and click on Market properties. The newly updated property will not be included in the new marketing feed sent which will prompt the chosen portals to remove it from their site.

3. Removing all properties from an advertising portal

Should a user wish to remove all listings from a particular advertising portal, this can be done by following the steps listed below:

  1. Go to Lettings properties > Publish to marketing sites

  2. Click on Clear and then click on the relevant feed in the dropdown (shown below)

  3. A blank/empty feed will be sent to the selected portal prompting them to remove all of your listings
